TV2 ØJ x Game of Thrones Easteros
When the last season of Game of Thrones was airing, there was a lot of hype about the show, not least from me. I wanted to use the hype and make something that was relevant for the audiences of TV2øj. The result was a poster with a map of Østjylland, with the names of cities and locations badly translated to english with many jokes from the series. I’ve used the visual style from the maps in the books.
To engange, we made an online competition, where people could come up with fun local names, that would go on the map:
We printed 800 copies and handed them out at Godsbanen in Aarhus. Max 2 each. person.
They were ALL GONE within 10 minutes.

For everyone who didn’t get a poster, we made it available as a free digital file.
This was such a fun experience, and the audience; Both in person and online, loved it!
